I spent most of my youth on nwn servers circa 2002-2003. You had custom games, pvp tourneys, you even had one shot modules where dm's would advertise their game and you could just hop on.
You had many servers, persistent worlds that acted kinda like mini mmos, with permanent characters, monsters, sometimes dm created quests etc. Nwn was the roll20 of the era, and this is before web2.0.
Shar is the deity of the underdark, she "rules over pains hidden but not forgotten, bitterness carefully nurtured away from the light and from others" and she "to have the power to make her devout followers forget their pain". I'm not sure if they gayed her up in 5e or not, but I wouldn't categorize Shar as "literal goddess of being a self-destructive emo bitch". Shar makes perfect sense for her, as an ambigious but still in terms of alignment Evil deity, and an elven deity at that. Viconia's backstory may be bullshit-y, but not because of Shar. She was only resurrected in a vain and sad attempt to create a sense of nostalgia and "e-e-everything is back to c-classic now, s-see?" following the mess that was 4e. Zinzerena died during the Time of Troubles, her portfolio usurped by Lolth.
I'm honestly at the end of my rope and contemplating checking out. >Who the fuck hurt you and removed the fun bone from your body? KoA simply isn't that good of a game, and your position frankly weirds me out.
